Fun in this heat?

It is really... really hot here right now. Last week we had a few cloudy days and even a bit of rain and it cooled down... just a little. We took advantage of the almost non heat stroke weather and took a trip to the zoo. We only saw a few animals before eating lunch. After that the kids were ready to go play in the water.

On our way to the spray pad we were greeted by a very hungry snapping turtle. He got pretty close before he realized we had nothing to give him.

Usually I'm way out numbered on our adventures and Claire sometime gets left in the stroller or on a hip. She was so excited to be able to play with all of the big kids!

Sydney stood still for a minute so I could take a picture.

Claire loved the water. Mommy and Daddy did too! It was getting pretty hot.

Lily is such a good big sister.

Aidan was running up to me when all of a sudden the water started to spray him. He immediately ran the other way and I snapped this picture right as he ran off.

Lily and Aidan loved the slides. This was the first time Aidan really enjoyed them. He had been a bit scared of them before. That boy is crazy! Almost every time he came down the slide he was sideways or backwards.

We all had a good time.

They were all worn out by the end of the afternoon. Aidan is asleep in this picture.
